==== Body
pmcDear Editor;

With great interest, we read the article titled “ Fournier's gangrene with Streptococcus anginosus in the setting of hidrandenitis suppurativa perineal abscess: A case report” [1]. This article is reporting the case of infection with Streptococcus anginosus in the setting of a hidrandenitis suppurativa perineal abscess; However, upon careful review of the article, several significant issues were identified that had not been adequately discussed.1. Please describe Streptococcus anginosus isolation method, which was not stated in the report. The authors should perform repeat sampling at different times, so that S. anginosus infection can be confirmed by isolation of this bacterial species at least twice [2].

2. Please explain the Streptococcus anginosus identification and characterization method, which was not mentioned in the report with details. The authors were not providing details regarding identification to the species level.

3. The details of the treatment regimen, e.g., drug dosage and treatment course, were not specified in the case presentation.
