==== Body
pmcThis is a corrigendum to: Libardo J Gómez and others, Stigma, participation restriction and mental distress in patients affected by leprosy, cutaneous leishmaniasis and Chagas disease: a pilot study in two co-endemic regions of eastern Colombia, Transactions of The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, Volume 114, Issue 7, July 2020, Pages 476–482, https://doi.org/10.1093/trstmh/trz132

The authors of the originally-published manuscript identified an error in the reported cut-off point for the Experience of Stigma Measure (EMIC-AP) questionnaire used in the study. They mistakenly adopted a cut-off point of 12 from the article by Sermrittirong (2015), whereas the correct cut-off point for the EMIC-AP questionnaire should have been ≥8. This oversight has implications for the reported outcomes in the article.

The following changes should be read in.

In the paragraph of section Results, the final sentence should read: ‘Median EMIC scores were significantly higher for leprosy patients (12) than for CD (6) and CL (3) patients.’ Instead of: ‘Median EMIC scores were significantly higher for leprosy patients than for CD (27%) and CL (17%) patients.’

Under Section Materials and methods, and subheading Statistical analysis, in the first paragraph the final sentence should read: ‘However, in line with the approach taken by Sermrittirong et al., the cut-off point of ≥8 was chosen.’ instead of: ‘However, in line with the approach taken by Sermrittirong et al., the cut-off point of 12 was chosen.’

In Table 2., the last line of figures (% above cut-off point) should read:

‘43.7% 31.0% 24.8% 67.3%’

instead of:

‘32.2% 27.0% 17.3% 51.9%’.

Figure 1. represents an accumulation of the values above the cut-off points for all three scales. This includes the EMIC-AP of which the cut-off point should be adjusted for this correction. It is necessary to recalculate the sum-score represented as ‘psychosocial burden’, visualised in Figure 1. which should read:

instead of:

The subheading ‘PSB’ should read: ‘Psychosocial burden’. Beneath that, the first paragraph should read: ‘In total, 32% of the patients exhibited a moderate or high PSB. The highest percentages were found in the leprosy group (53.8%) followed by the CD group (45.2%)[ … ]’ instead of: ‘In total, 31.6% (77/165) of the patients exhibited a moderate or high PSB. The highest percentages were found in the leprosy group (41.5%, 42/70) followed by the CD group (25%, 25/59)[ … ]’.

In section Discussion, in the first paragraph, the end of the fifth sentence should read: ‘[ … ] depending on the disease category, ranged between 10% and 49%.’ instead of: ‘[ … ] depending on the disease category, ranged between 10% and 42%.’ In the 4th paragraph, the sixth sentence should read: ‘Perceived stigma was encountered in 25% of our CL patients.’ instead of: ‘Perceived stigma was encountered in 18% of our CL patients.’

Under References, ‘8’ should read: ‘Ton, T.G., Mackenzie, C. & Molyneux, D.H. The burden of mental health in lymphatic filariasis. Infect Dis Poverty 4, 34 (2015). https://doi.org/10.1186/s40249-015-0068-7.’ instead of: ‘Mountford-Zimdars A, Harrison N. Access to Higher Education: Theoretical Perspectives and Contemporary Challenges. London: Taylor and Francis, 2016.’

These errors have been outlined only in this correction notice to preserve the version of record.
