GlyGen FTP Site

The GlyGen File Transfer Protocol (FTP) site allows the user to download GlyGen data 
in bulk. The GlyGen data processing workflow (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32324859/)
integrates carbohydrate and glycoconjugate-related data retrieved from multiple international 
data sources including UniProtKB, GlyTouCan, UniCarbKB and other key resources. Here is a 
brief description of the tarball files made available for this release.


    - dataset_files.tar.gz
        Collection of dataset files integrated in the GlyGen data processing workflow
        

    - bcodb.tar.gz
        BioCompute Objects (BCOs) in JSON format which describe how the dataset files were 
        integrated in the GlyGen workflow. For more information on BioCompute Objects, visit

    - proteindb.tar.gz
        Collection of JSON objects for each protein record in GlyGen project. The information
        in these objects comes from various dataset files, and the associated CSV file 
        dataset2object_map.csv gives mapping between top level properties of these
        objects and the dataset files.


    - sitedb.tar.gz
        Collection of secondary JSON objects for each site on a protein. These objects are 
        secondary because they are also available in various section of the protein JSON
        objects.


    - alignmentdb.tar.gz
        Collection of JSON objects for protein alignment records. These alignments can be 
        for a cluster of isoforms within a given species or a cluster of homolog sequences 
        from various species considered in GlyGen.


    - glycandb.tar.gz
        Collection of JSON objects for each glycan record in GlyGen project. The CSV file
        dataset2object_map.csv gives mapping between top level properties of these
        objects and the dataset files.


    - motifdb.tar.gz
        Collection of JSON objects for each motif record in GlyGen project. The CSV file
        dataset2object_map.csv gives mapping between top level properties of these
        objects and the dataset files.


    - publicationdb.tar.gz
        Collection of JSON objects for each PubMed or DOI publication record in GlyGen project. 


    - speciesdb.tar.gz
        Collection of JSON objects for each species considered in the GlyGen project.


    - diseasedb.tar.gz
        Collection of JSON objects for disease records referenced in GlyGen project.


    - networkdb.tar.gz
        Collection of JSON objects for showing connectivity of different records.
